How to cancel your contract

What your cancellation should say

So that we can identify your contract beyond doubt and calculate the right end date, please tell us:

• The kind of cancellation: ordinary, to the earliest possible date, or extraordinary for good cause.
• Your name and postal address.
• The email address the account or the order runs under.
• The contract or plan, plus your customer, order or invoice number if you have it at hand.
• The date on which the contract should end. Without one, we cancel to the earliest possible date.
• An address for the confirmation, if we should not send it to the same email address.

If one of these is missing, we do not reject your cancellation. We ask, and we count the notice period from the day of your first message.

Where to send your cancellation

By email to [email protected]. This is the fastest route and the only one where you can prove the time you sent it.

Both routes meet the text form requirement of section 126b of the German Civil Code and carry equal weight. You do not need a handwritten signature, not even on a letter.

There is currently no self-service cancellation inside a customer account: ordering through this website is paused, so no self-service flow is running. While that is the case, email and letter are the complete cancellation route. They require no sign-in, they cost you nothing, and they meet every deadline.

Which notice periods apply

If your contract runs for an indefinite period, you can cancel at any time with one month's notice.

If it is still inside a minimum term, you can cancel with one month's notice to the end of that term. We remind you in text form at least 30 days before it expires. After that the contract continues for an indefinite period, and no new fixed term begins.

What counts is the day your cancellation reaches us, not the day you send it (section 130 of the German Civil Code). When a deadline is close, email is therefore the safe route.

Either side may still terminate for good cause; that right is untouched. The full rules are in section 7 of our terms and conditions, linked at the foot of this page.

What you get back from us

We confirm receipt of your cancellation without delay, in text form. The confirmation states the date and time we received it and the date on which the contract ends. It is written so that you can save and print it.

If no confirmation reaches you within three business days, please write to [email protected] or call +49 6021 327 45 50. Your cancellation stands either way: it takes effect when it reaches us, not when we reply.

What happens after the contract ends

Access to the platform ends with the contract. You keep access to the data export function for another 30 days. That commitment is set out in section 7 (7) of our terms and conditions.

Tokens already paid for but not used do not expire. We refund the amount attributable to them at your request.

Cancellation and withdrawal are two different things

Cancellation ends a running contract going forward. Withdrawal unwinds it from the start, as though you had never entered into it.

If you concluded the contract less than fourteen days ago and you are a consumer, withdrawal is usually the better deal for you: you get everything you paid back.
