You do not have to use this form

The model is an offer, not a condition. Any unequivocal statement that makes clear you no longer want the contract is enough. One plain sentence by email will do.

The law obliges us to make the model available to you (Article 246a section 1 (2) sentence 1 no. 1 EGBGB). It does not oblige you to use it. The advantage of using it is that none of the details we need to identify your order goes missing.

To meet the deadline, it is enough that you send your statement before the fourteen days run out. For a withdrawal, the day it reaches us does not matter.

By email to [email protected]. You can type the text out, scan the completed form or photograph it. Any of these is enough.

You can also reach us by phone on +49 6021 327 45 50. A withdrawal by phone is valid, but hard to prove. We therefore recommend email or a letter.

Why the wording stays untouched

The text below is prescribed by law. We do not shorten it, we do not smooth it out, and we do not rewrite it. The bracketed notes with the asterisk belong to it: they tell you which entry to delete when it does not fit your case.

That is why the model reads more stiffly than the rest of this website. It is meant to. A nicer version would be a different version, and a different version protects you less well.

Model withdrawal form

Annex 2 to Article 246a section 1 (2) sentence 1 no. 1 of the Introductory Act to the German Civil Code. Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. Using it is not obligatory. Any unequivocal statement will do.
